José García de Castro studied Philosophy and Linguistics in Salamanca University (1987-1992) where completed his Doctorate on Spiritual Diary and letters of Ignatius of Loyola. He got his Theology Degree at Comillas University. Since 2011 he has been teaching Spiritual Theology at Comillas University, focusing on First History of the Society of Jesus, Ignatius of Loyola and Ignatian Theology.

José García de Castro is now the Director of Máster IGNATIANA. He is working on the Sources of the Jesuits and Society of Jesús and is very interested on Ignatius Loyola and his First Companions and has published some articles about them

Marlene's doctoral thesis is entitled Poetry and Grace: An Autoethnography which Explores Writing Poetry as Prayer in the Context of Ignatian Spirituality.  This thesis was the first to take seriously the use of poetry as a way of making the Spiritual Exercises.  In this conference, her focus is on the use of oral and written language as prayer and process of growing God- and self-awareness through engagement with the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius.

In the meantime, Cecil has also directed retreats in India, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, Spain, Italy, and Malta. His 42 years in India has helped him become very sensitive to cultural differences, which is a precious asset in personal accompaniment. What strongly animates him while accompanying others in their unfolding journey towards fullness of life is his desire to help set free the liberating presence of God present in their lives.

Having recently completed her Masters in Organizational Dynamics, Bernadette is currently undertaking PhD research exploring the contribution spiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition can make to leadership and organizational development.  

His work in spirituality and direction started in his formation as a Jesuit in the early seventies. In the summers he can usually be found giving retreats and workshops throughout Europe, Australia, Asia and North America. His work included teaching workshops, retreat and spiritual direction, and facilitation in discernment.

His areas of interest include Christian Spirituality (with a focus on Ignatian Spirituality and The Spiritual Exercises), Comparative Spirituality with an interest in Buddhism and Shamanism, Spiritual Direction, Spirituality and Post-modernism, Poetry and Prose and contemporary Cultural Studies. He is the author of The Gift of Spiritual Intimacy, Finding God in the Dark and Stepping Into Mystery.

Dr. Éadaoin K P HUI C.L.C. has been in leadership positions in HK and the World CLC Executive Council since the 1980s, contributing to CLC development and ministries as President and a core member. She is sent by CLC to serve as Supervisor of Marymount Schools. As a HKU Academic, she is internationally known for her research in forgiveness and school guidance.  As an Educational Psychologist, she serves the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong as the Consultant to its Educational Psychology Service.

Fr. Seán Ó Cearbhalláin S.J. has been working with the CLC since 1975 and has been the Ecclesiastical Assistant to CLC (HK) since 1978. A theologian and writer, he has given the Spiritual Exercises to many CLC members and others, both lay and religious.

Mrs. Jennie Chor Chan Chui-yuk, BBS, former Deputy Commissioner for Labour for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, joined the CLC in 1973 and has taken up leadership roles in the core ministries. She has been serving as spiritual guide for a number of small CLC communities and has also been sent by CLC (HK) to serve as School Manager for the two Marymount schools since CLC took up school sponsorship in 1997.  She is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Catholic Advisory Council and the Hong Kong Catholic Diocesan Commission for the Permanent Diaconate.

Mr. Joseph H. C. CHOR C.L.C. joined the CLC in 1972 while studying in HKU. Since then, he has served two terms as President of CLC (HK). He is now the Director of Leunis Institute of CLC (HK) and is responsible for collaboration between CLC and the Society of Jesus in Hong Kong. On the parish level, he has been serving as the Vice Convenor of the Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist in the Cathedral.

Rachel McLoughlin is the coordinator of the retreat giving team at the Campion Centre of Ignatian Spirituality in Victoria, Australia. She is a retreat giver, speaker, physiotherapist and Ignatian spiritual director and formator. Long time leader in CLC and Magis, she works as Victorian, South Australian and West Australian co-ordinator of the FSE. Rachel has extensive experience of giving the FSE to schools, parishes, youth, universities, the ill, Ignatian religious and Ignatian workers.

Frances Tilly is a pastoral associate of Our Lady of the Way Jesuit parish in North Sydney, Australia. She is an Ignatian spiritual director, retreat giver and FSE animator. She works as the New South Wales co-ordinator of the FSE. Frances has long experience giving the FSE in parishes, to school leaders and catholic leaders in various ministries. She is married with three adult children.
